Ischia Mon Amour

“I do not know where I will get married, if in Milan or in Ischia, what I know is that I wish you were to organize my marriage”. With these words of pure trust, called on the phone, the link between Francesca Lafratta and her namesake bride was born …

Francesca and Matteo is a couple from Milan who decided to choose for their wedding ceremony the beautiful island of Ischia, where her mother’s grandparents live. They wanted a special wedding, which could be remembered by everybody for its location, details and concern for their guests. And so it was.

A wedding characterized by two magical days: the welcome party of the day before their wedding day and the ceremony of the day after, held both on the wonderful island of love. On a terraced location, the “Cocò Mare”, which can be reached either by land or sea, hosted the reception party on the island of the guests, who, arrived by boat, received from the wedding couple a present: Panama hats for the men and flower wreaths for the women. The party, totally white (everybody was dressed in white except for the bride and groom), took place in the typical folkloristic  atmosphere of the island, with a dinner on the terrace. It had a Mediterranean flavor featured a band from Naples to liven up the evening; all in a triumph of territoriality that has warmed up the guests’ hearts.

The ceremony of the day after was highly suggestive: in the “Soccorso” Church, built on high rock, literally overlooking the sea, Francesca and Matteo have crowned their love dream. Francesca, wearing a white dress, beautiful and smiling with a rose in her hair, and Matteo, very elegant in blue, have reached, riding an “ape” (a local scooter), were in a dreamy location to celebrate their wedding: the Mezzatorre Resort & SPA, which had granted Francesca Lafratta the exclusive rights to organize marriages.

The Saracen tower, where the Resort is to be found, overlooks a breathtaking bay, and exceptionally for that evening the wedding celebration lasted until 3:00am. Then a fireworks show lit up the sea, the island and the newlyweds’ souls.

A day full of flowers and colors told in a few minutes of pure natural emotions. Ernesto and Simonetta wrapped up by hugs, smiles and thousand colors.
